What should I know about tipping in Mexico?

Tipping is customary and important throughout Mexico:

• Restaurants: 10–15% standard, 18–20% for excellent service
• Hotel housekeeping and bell staff: 20–50 pesos per service
• Private villa staff: 15–20% of the service value over your stay — greatly appreciated
• Transportation: 10–15%
• Festival staff: Not expected but always welcome

Tipping in US dollars is perfectly acceptable and appreciated throughout Cabo.
